Metal-oxide Varistors (MOV)

Icarus Technology are happy to announce that we have extended our product portfolio to include metal-oxide varistors (MOVs).

MOVs are also known as voltage-dependent resistors and they are designed to protect sensitive circuits from a variety of overvoltage conditions.
Their electrical characteristics are similar to back-to-back zener diodes.

MOVs are used for example in LED-drivers, electricity meters, home appliances, communication equipment and power transmission, to name a few.

We currently have 5 Series available with ceramic chip diameters 5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 14mm and 20mm.
